You guys wanna know what day it is today? It's
WHITE DAY (also Marshmellow Day)! If you don't know what it is, then it's a real pity for you to be living on earth. hah,
JKJK! (Amelia, I'm merely joking, I swear!)
The day was spent at Melissa's house with Amelia, Cheryl, Alex, Lennard and Han Guang. What else but to work on our SS project. Lennard's there because we were supposed to start researching on our History project but the time was mostly reserved for SS. But never mind since I've already completed the essay part. I've got a bad throat early in the morning and Amelia and Melissa kept teasing at me for the way I talked. Okay, it was awkward, I confess, but when a bad throat strikes you, you'll definitely be in no mood to enjoy your day. It hurts like millions of needles darting towards you and starts to prick at you. Rest assured, the two of you, that I would be the one making fun of you guys the next time round. ^_^ Stayed at Melissa's house till the evening and by that time, our energy have clearly been wiped out. Especially so for Amelia and me because my condition was getting from bad to worse. My head feels disoriented and the funny thing was that as Amelia, Cheryl and I were going on the overhead bridge, Amelia and I knocked onto the railings a few times. Kinda stupid but our legs were, at that point of time, giving out on us.
Went to consult a doctor at 9 in the night because my body system just couldn't stand the battle with the virus no more. There, I was given lengthy procedures of checking my blood pressure, temperature and the usual exhausting admin stuff. I loathe blood pressure-taking time because there's always this uncertainty of whether you can gonna be diagnosed with low blood or high blood pressure. Yes, I know there's a very unlikely chance you'll get it (AND TOUCHWOOD), but there's still this fright lingering inside me for no particular reason. Damn, am I relieved after all the tests, etc. True to what I'm experiencing now, the doctor says my inner body temperature is very warm while my surface temperature was a stark constrast to the former. I was already feeling hot-and-cold at Melissa's house. It's like the blood flowing in my body is baking hot but the temperature at which you touch my forehead says otherwise. I posed a rather "impolite" question to the doctor after all the tests and consultation. I asked,"Why do I have you see you monthly?" As far as I can recall, I'll been falling ill for numerous times since the start of the year. Which is considered surprising since I usually am unwell for once a year. I mean, excuse me, doesn't it tire you out to be visiting a clinic every month because you're down with some sickness? Hasn't curiousity overrode you to ask the doctor why you're sick at least once a month? For me, it does. And the doctor's response was that it might be because I'm away from home so often that I might have contracted the whatever infection from others. Fair enough but still, it's a chore to see you every so often, MR DOCTOR.
Lets get chillin'.
